16 Nigerians Arrested With Drugs: Mumbai Police has succeeded in catching drugs worth crores of rupees before the celebration of New Year. Police has arrested about 16 foreign nationals with drugs worth Rs 1 crore 70 thousand from Sector 12 of Kharghar. The arrested accused are natives of Nigeria.
Of the arrested accused, 10 are men and 6 are women. DCP Amit Kale of Navi Mumbai Crime Branch told that ganja, charas, heroin and MD have been seized from the arrested accused. DCP Kale told that there was a plan to sell banned drugs and narcotics at New Year celebration parties.

Earlier, 140.57 kg of drugs were destroyed at Taloja in Navi Mumbai. Its price in the international illegal market was Rs 538 crore. On Friday (December 30), the Anti Narcotics Cell (Worli Unit) of Mumbai Police had also arrested two drug peddlers. Drugs worth Rs 24 lakh were recovered from his possession.
